Frequently Ask Question

What can I expect from a pet sitter?

There are several reasons for using a pet sitter.

What is the benefit of an introductory visit?

This is our opportunity to personally meet you and your pets and to say “Aloha”! This visit is a free consultation regarding our services that will take approximately 30 minutes where should you wish to use Aloha Pet Care services we can customize a plan to your pets needs.

What happens if the pet food or pet products runs out while I am away?

We will not let your pet go with out food or necessary products. However, it is recommended tha you purchase extra food/products for your pet before you leave. If you miscalculate and run out of food, an extra fee of £7 will be added to your bill.

What happens if my pet gets sick while I am away?

All clients are required to complete a veterinary release form during the initial consultation. If your pet does get sick while you’re away, we will do (everything possible) to seek medical attention. If your pet needs medical attention we will take your pet to your veterinarian immediately. We will make every effort to contact pet owners and receive instructions before we take an animal in for medical care. Aloha Pet Care Limited, is not responsible for cost incurred from veterinary visits. Additional time spent transporting the pet and providing extra care is billed to client at the rate £ 10.00 an hour.

What can I expect upon my return?

We will leave a detailed journal (upon request) on what the pet sitters did with your pets while you were gone and a note to remind you to call us upon your return to let us know you return safe and sound! If you do not call us we will contact you and if we can not get in touch with you we will continue service until told otherwise. So rest assured that if something happens on your way back (delayed plane, etc) that your pets are in good hands!

What is Reiki ?

The term “Reiki” is usually translated as “universal life energy”. It is a holistic healing system, meaning that it treats the whole being, addressing problems and healing at all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Along other therapies, such as acupuncture, homeopathy, Qi Gong and Flower Essence Therapy.

What Does an Animal Reiki Practitioner Not Do?

Reiki sessions are given for the purpose of stress reduction and relaxation to promote healing. Reiki is not a substitute for medical diagnosis and treatment. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions nor do they prescribe, perform medical treatment, nor interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional.
